P790 Udi Review
Taylor's name is on the inside of the bag. Made P790 UDI looks like every other P790 iron (review of the P790 irons HERE ). Taylor. Made made sure to keep the iron's back clean by using a very small logo (T) and the modern P790 branding.
The UDI is different from other P790 irons in that it can be addressed. The top line is shorter and offset has been decreased. The sole is also noticeably thinner in this 2-iron than in the 6-iron. Taylor. Made stated that these changes were made in response to Tour staff's requests.

The P790 is an iron forging that continues the P790's success. Engineered with breakthrough Speed. Foam Technology provides the iron the look and feel of an athlete's golf club with improved distance off the fairway.
The world's No.2 Dustin Johnson and No.3 Jon Rahm are currently the only two remaining. Taylor has been No.3. Justin Rose and Rory Mc. Ilroy and Jason Day have all played the P790 UDI on Tour already this season.
P790 UDI’s hollow construction has Speed. Foam is used to generate ball speed, as well as sound and touch management. The low-density Speed is injected to the clubhead. Foam gives the P790 a unique performance. Made family.
The P790 UDI also features a re-engineered Inverted Cone Technology optimised for the slightly smaller face area. Taylor. Made had an older ICT with a heavier, larger profile. With the new P790 UDI, the Inverted Cone is smaller and more flexible. This allows the face to be thinner at the edges.
For forgiveness and playability, P790 irons feature strategically placed internal metal-injection-molded (MIM) tungsten weighting for precise CG placement and higher moment of inertia (MOI).
The driving iron can spin low and is very modern. It's placed behind the ball and has a sleek, modern appearance.
For such a small and compact iron, the technology in this clubhead allows for incredible forgiveness and distance. It is a remarkable weapon for delivering incredible power.

This club is in my wish list. I tried the P790's while searching for irons, but they were too heavy for me. So I decided to go with the AP2s. I still haven't found any store that sells this UDI and don't plan on buying it. If you have it, can anyone give me some insight into how it feels and what your thoughts are about it? Perhaps you can tell me where it was purchased so I know if it can be hit before I actually buy it.
Is The P790 Udi Forgiving?
Unfortunately forgiveness can be average. You can easily lose ball speed and distance when your strike isn’t high. In terms of spin, the P790 UDI is fairly low spin but not as low spin as the irons in the set. The P790 iron set is one of the lowest spinning irons I've ever hit.Dec 25, 2019
Are P790 Hard To Hit?
P790s can be hit very easily. We're not sure whether this is due to the fact that our expectations were high for blade club clubs. Our tests showed that the speed foam and hollow face actually work. The shots also came out with great consistency.
What does Udi mean Golf?
Today, the company unveiled the UDI (as "Ultimate Driving Iron") club. This comes a day after Justin Rose won his second consecutive victory with this 2-iron model of the club. UDI is a hollow-iron design featuring a Carpenter steel 455 face that provides more speed potential.
What Degree Is P790 2 Iron?
Only the new P790-UDI 2-iron will be made available as a left-handed iron with 17 degrees loft. This model shares many distance-enhancing characteristics that are found in the P790 standard irons.
